We’re pleased to announce that the Cemetery Junction Arch will feature as part of the 2019 Heritage Open Days tour. This is a rare chance to take a look inside the iconic Junction Arch at Cemetery Junction. Built circa 1840, it was originally a grand ornamental gatehouse to Reading Old Cemetery, today it is currently vacant. Tours will take place on Sunday 22nd September 10:00 -18:00. Join us for guided history walks, an exhibition of the local history and a look inside the building itself.

We’re pleased to announce that on Wednesday 31st July 2019, 11am-3pm, Friends of Cemetery Junction will be hosting The 3 Bees event with partners at the Old Cemetery. This is a great opportunity for families to learn about these important insects. Learn to waggle dance, meet bee keepers, get involved in bee-related arts and crafts. The cemetery is host to a whole ecosystem of wildlife and the bee is one of its most important tenants. We look forward to seeing you there!
